Welcome Wendy

Welcome to the website Wendy Marshall, and thankyou for your comments. We hope to get the old 'Fiddler' photos up on the Gallery soon. I played Fruma Sarah in the production you were in and also have fond memories of the show. Best Wishes, Joan (Chairman)

Dear Joan,

I've looked at the photos. The one of you as Fruma Sarah, was that from the 1990 production? I am sorry to say, I am a lot older than you may think. I was in a production in the 70's! So it might have been with STOS but I have so many fond memories of Croft and Teacher's and I can't always remember the time or date, it was so long ago. I was in Carousel, I remember, as well. I was around in the days when Lud was dancing before he joined the Young Generation but I also know Melodie Cole and Sandra Houldsworth (Miss Sandra). Are there any photos of those days?

Best wishes

Croft did 'Carousel' in 1973.

Croft did 'Carousel' in 1973. I played Fruma Sarah in the 1990 'Fiddler' and flew on a wire. My first show was 'Finian's Rainbow' in 1976. If you check out the Officials you will see that Melodie Cole is now on the committee, and Sandra is the ticket secretary. Miss Judy is our President. We are continually updating the archives so there may be some old photo's turn up eventually. Andrew is working backwards from the last show, but it takes time, especially with old photos as they have to be scanned and re-sized for the web. If you check the 'Productions' page you can see some interesting material on there from the 20's. There is also a link to Teachers web site on 'Links'.  Enjoy browsing, and look out for updates, Joan

Dear Joan,

Yes, I remember now. I don't suppose you remember me, I was one of the many from Constance Grant's, that year and in years after. I will look forward to seeing the photos and recognising the faces. Unfortunately I don't think I have any photos from the productions, so it will be a trip down Memory Lane. I became a professional dancer shortly after that production and travelled abroad for 5 years before returning to the UK but I always maintained (and still do) that the amateur productions were more professional in a lot of ways than the professional ones and I loved the times I was lucky enough to be in those shows.

Take care and regards to Ron

Will check back soon to see the photos,

Wendy xx
